Back in the day, if you were driving in the boondocks and you found yourself lost, you’d consult a tattered map that was housed under the passenger seat, stained from years of collecting spilt foodstuffs, dirt and dust. Back in the day, if you were out and about and needed to make a phone call, you would have to find a payphone on the street, pray that you had some coins and that the coin-slot itself wasn’t sealed with a concrete layer of dried chewing gum. And back in the day, if you wanted to gather information on a particular subject, you’d have to walk your arse to the local library.
