1873. Samuel Gunderson strode into Mac Wilson’s Gun Store in El Paso, Texas and shot the outlaw Bram “The Viper” Doherty three times in the back. Doherty had, three months previous, slain Gunderson’s brother in cold blood after a hand of poker went sour. Seeking vengeance, Gunderson tracked the outlaw across three states before the showdown at Wilson’s. Many years later, with the remnants of Doherty’s blood still visible as a dark stain on the floorboards, Mac Wilson’s grandson Howard changed the name of his family store to support the legend – and it forever became Vendetta’s Gun Shop.
