The Nazca Lines in Peru. Some say they were etched in the earth so as the ‘gods’ would see them and be honoured. Others say the lines would serve as a landing strip for the spaceships of these ‘gods’. And there are those who think it was all an egocentric artistic trip by a handful of indigenous dudes. Whatever the case, one can only attain a decent view of the Nazca Lines from the air, and many say that speaks volumes for their intention.
